It's simple and it's fun to enter!
What is a Challenge Painting: For years members of SWS have challenged one another to produce a painting a month to show to their fellow artists concerning a subject chosen by the Board of Directors as posted below. When the monthly meeting is in-person bring your work of art to the meeting for display and discussion. And when we are meeting over the internet (through Zoom) please sen a picture of your work to Carrie Dujovic ( carrie.dugovic@gmail.com) who organizes the paintings for show during the meeting. The paintings are shown and a drawing is conducted from the names of the participating artists . The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate with Spokane Art Supply. It's just that simple and enjoyable.
- Show off your work by taking a well-lit, unskewed photo, showing only the painting - not the easel or other background.
- Use your smart phone - often the easiest is the best!
- All members who submit a jpeg will be entered into a drawing.
- Prize currently is a $15.00 gift certificate to Spokane Art Supply.

FEBRUARY: Spring Theme, consider a floral
MARCH: Portrait (Person or animal)
APRIL: No challenge this month, (Review of National Juried Show)
MAY: Still Life
JUNE: Plein Air or Artist's Choice
JULY-AUGUST: No meetings
SEPTEMBER: Fall Theme
OCTOBER: Artist's Choice
NOVEMBER: Local Origin (but with a twist)
DECEMBER: A gift that changed the direction of your life (Example, a wedding ring)
