Artist Statement and Biography

****** Watercolor is new to Pam in 2019 starting a new journey back to the arts after decades as an Executive. Although watercolor painting is new to her, as an artist she has worked in fiber, clothing design, lithography, drawing, print, television, graphic design and commercial art. Currently she is a consultant to CEO’s in non profit organizations. Pam is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University in California with a minor in fine arts. Her first career was as a Middle and High School Art teacher in southern California. She started a graphic design studio in the late 70’s that grew to a full service advertising agency in Oregon. In the late 80’s she established a consulting firm that focused on business and marketing strategies. In 1995 she began working as a workforce development partnership building specialist with business/trade associations and state agencies across the country. |
In 2001 she was recruited by the Washington Workforce Training and Education Board, an agency of the Washington State Governor to be the Associate Director. Here she shaped policy and represented the state throughout the nation on workforce best practices. In 2007 she was recruited by Girl Scouts USA to serve as the CEO for the Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho region.
Pam’s accomplishments are many and varied throughout the years for every venture of her career and always loves a new challenge. She is known for her ability to think outside the box; mentoring women in careers; and turns obstacles into opportunities. |
