The very first moment I slid my hands through finger paint, my love of art began. That delight grew with time and even survived the days of running kids to soccer games. Nine years ago my painting took a big turn from crafts to fine art during a
class taught by Stan Miller. Learning continued under Stan, and was also greatly influenced by workshops with internationally known artists such as Bev Jozwiak, Birgit O’Connor, and Lian Zhen. Flowers are fun, and landscapes are inspiring, but painting children has brought a whole new level of joy to my art. It is my goal to paint children in their everyday moments of life, picking flowers, playing dress up, or jumping in puddles. I love to teach workshops and classes regularly in my home studio. Entering local competitions, and winning a few awards has also been great fun! I am filled with gratitude to God, The Great Artist, who not only gave me the gift of painting, but encourages and helps me to grow as an artist and teacher. |
