I have always been fascinated by the many various forms of artistic creation and communication: enjoying learning as much as possible from other artists, classes, books, AND life in general as it spins and dances past through the seasons. My original "creations" did not survive...not sure that crayons on walls are very archival anyway.
In Alaska, I was introduced to the challenge of watercolors and then added even more challenges when sumi-e led me on a path of delightful brush manipulation of ink. I have since discovered the joy of playing with abstract shapes and designs using collage, water media and ink on both paper and canvas.
I am inspired by the creativity of other artists and by music, but most of all by the light-play and colors in the natural world around me.
