Riverfront Pavillion Willow -9”w x 12”h, watercolor on 140lb wc paper
Having drawn, colored, painted or sketched with any medium available since I could remember is what makes me the artist that I am. Doing art every day, in bright colors and high contrast is what I do. Feel free to contact me, as I am open to do a wide variety of commissions.
Plein air painting is the most enjoyable to me, as I search for wildlife and nature with great lighting, portraiture, or people and animals with great expressions. A large part of life resides in my art…. producing various subjects on all kinds of surfaces including automobiles, motorcycles and buildings with murals and signs, and in books. Mediums include pencil, charcoal, chalk, pen & ink, watercolors, acrylics with traditional brushes or airbrush, gouache, house paint for murals, and oils.
I like to capture the vibrant life that I see all around me.
A wide selection of work can be viewed on my website at www.valeriewoelk.com and current lessons and thoughts can be seen on my artist blog, “Artist Spare Time”
