Greg Saue
Bio
As a painter, I began with oils when in my early teens. I won a regional juried show when fifteen, which encouraged me to pursue art. At Dartmouth College, I was a pre medical religion major, but had minor concentration in studio art. I won the Paul R Sample award for painting in 1968. I didn't produce much art while in medical school or post doctoral training. When I came to Spokane, I was the first board certified rheumatologist in the city but am now retired from practice. Stan Miller started instructing me in watercolors in the 1980s and I did nothing else for almost 30 years. I was represented by 29th Avenue Artworks and Art at Work during the 90's. I entered work in Art on the Green, and won their best painting award in 1997. In 2000 I won the Spokane Watercolor Society's annual juried show. I resumed working in oils in 2015 and now do both media concurrently.
