James Anderson Murphy

Bio
Many, many years ago I was an art student in Seattle. We were asked to "draw a line" and have it ready the next day. I dutifully took pen and paper and drew "a line." Next day I and my classmates showed our work: a couple of pen and paper...but, also, string stretched across the room , copier reproductions and even a light beam infused with "fog." All lines. An experience that made me go hmmm. My sense of reality opened to unforeseen possibilities. I loved it. Way leads on to way and it wasn't until maybe 25 years ago I returned to a creative pursuit of stained glass and, eventually, glass painting. Until this year - 2026 - I had not thought about watercolor as a medium for me. My daughter-in-law gifted me with a subscription to an on-line watercolor course. I am finding that I like this. And so, a total newbie - I want to learn and explore this medium and see what I can learn.
