Born, raised, and rooted in Spokane, Washington, I have always felt a deep connection to art. Although I studied art at the University of Washington, my early career took a different path as I built and operated a technical recruiting company. In 2007, with my children grown and pursuing their own journeys, I returned to painting—my true passion. In 2014, I was diagnosed with severe tremors, a life-changing challenge that threatened my ability to create. But through Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in 2022, I was given the gift of painting once again. Today, I am incredibly grateful to live and work as a fine artist—creating, exhibiting, mentoring, and giving back through charitable donations. Some of my greatest joys come from teaching art to young students and connecting with collectors who find meaning in my work. I believe my artistic ability is a gift, and I strive to honor it by continuing to grow, explore, and share. My hope is that my paintings resonate and speak to others in a meaningful way.

I believe watercolor as a medium, has chosen me. My interpretation strives to be neither typical nor predictable. I love creating vibrant color urban landscapes, animals, trains and floral. The intense and contrasting colors with use of the white of the paper is what appeals to me. My style fluctuates, along with my color pallet depending on the subject and emotion I hope to evoke.
